Who is it for?  

PGCE students and those completing the BA Primary Education with QTS programmes. 

What’s the purpose?  

The Summer School provides an opportunity to acquire an additional 30 M level credits. 

What will it involve?  

• Attendance at the four morning sessions: Monday 6th July, Tuesday 7th, Thursday 9th  and Friday 10th July, 9.00am to 1.00pm  
• Study Day Wednesday 8th July   
• Attendance at a tutorial (at St Mary’s/Zoom) in late July   
• 6,000 word essay submitted by Friday 21st August 2026 

Which module is studied?  

EDT7015: Pedagogical Issues in Practice. This module offers students the opportunity to identify and explore in depth a pedagogical issue of interest to them in their professional context. Assessment: an essay (6,000 words)  

 How much does it cost?  

The cost is £50, non-returnable deposit
