Who is it for?

PGCE students 2022-23  

What’s the purpose?

The Summer School provides an opportunity for you to acquire an additional 30 M level credits, so that you will begin your ECT year with 90 of the 180 credits required for a Masters degree.

What will it involve?

• Attendance at the four morning sessions: Monday 3^rd, Tuesday 4^th, Thursday 6^th and Friday 7^th July, 9.00am to 1.00pm
• Preparatory reading for each day
• Study Day Wednesday 5^th July
• Attendance at a tutorial (at St Mary’s/Zoom) in late July
• 6,000 word essay submitted by Friday 18^th August 2023

Which module will we study?

You will study EDT7015: Pedagogical Issues in Practice. This module offers students the opportunity to identify and explore in depth a pedagogical issue of interest to them in their professional context. Assessment: an essay (6,000 words)
