Join us for an informative Shared Learning Event, 'Enhancing Cultural Competency in Addressing Modern Slavery: Cultural Insights from Albania,' on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm. Hosted by the Bakhita Centre at St Mary's University in collaboration with Medaille Trust, this event provides a space for reflection and critical discussions on cultural and societal dynamics in Albania that impact precarious migration and modern slavery and human trafficking (MSHT). An engaging panel will present on topics such as vulnerabilities and protection, corruption and prosecutions, and the challenges faced by returned migrants in the process of re-integration. The event also offers opportunities to learn about the findings of Bakhita Centre's recent research on cultural competency, share recommendations, and engage in interactive discussions.
